Leeds Photographic Society
Founded in 1852, the oldest Photographic Society in the world.

Leeds Photographic Society is a user friendly group of people of all ages with a common interest in photography at all levels, from freelance semi-professional to the happy snapper; all are given the same open and friendly welcome. Our membership level is around 70, comprising active photographers, casual picture takers and some who just like to see other people's pictures and generally socialise.

We meet at St Edmunds Church Hall, Lidgett Park Road, Roundhay, Leeds LS8 1JN on Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm once a week in Winter and once a fortnight in Summer, where we are entertained by visiting lecturers and our own members with a variety of talks and demonstrations ranging from practical techniques to holiday travelogues, in fact something to suit most interests.

We also hold photographic competitions where visiting judges will critique our work generally in a friendly and gentle manner.
