Welcome to the Web Site of the Leeds Photographic Society

We are a friendly group of enthusiasts who meet regularly to share and develop our interest in photography

With over 90 members. from beginner to accomplished photographer, including amateur and pro shooters, we welcome new members of all skill levels

Our Programme Includes

Illustrated talks by keynote speakers  and our own members  

Externally judged and critiqued photography competitions

Opportunities to display images & projects for discussion and critique in a friendly non-competitive environment

Outings, Exhibitions and more

Membership is £40 per year from September 2016 (£5 Discount for full time students)  Payment by cash (preferred) or cheque.

Details of the LPS competitions, dates and themes for the 2016 - 2017 season and of the Inter Club competitions will be announced shortly.

The winners of the 2016 Society Exhibition print and DPI competitions are shown above.  All the print entries in the competition will be exhibited in Salts Mill, Saltaire from 28th to 30th May.

Theatre Photography from Audition to Action

John Saunders (York)

John is an ex member of Leeds PS and since moving to York he has been involved in taking photographs for various theatre companies, amateur and professional. The talk features a production with a cast of 200 which took place at night on the streets of York.

*Visitors are welcome at all our meetings.  However please note there is a £2 admission charge for our regular meetings and a £5 charge when we have a visiting speaker
