6th September    “VISIONS OF AMERICA”  with Tony Gervis FRPS  

In 35 years of travel to America, Tony has photographed over 100 National Parks and - during recent years - five of America’s top rodeos.



27th September      “LEICA - PROBABLY THE MOST INFLUENTIAL CAMERA  IN THE  WORLD”  with Thomas Peck    

Come along and see why Thomas believes this to be the case.



25th October  “A TRAVEL LOG FROM AROUND THE WORLD”  with Bob Moore Hon FRPS  Hon PAGB  MPAGB  FIPF FBIPP  and Sue Moore FRPS MPAGB FIPF

Bob and Sue will show a wide range of A2 prints in monochrome and colour.  Extensively travelled, they have images from many countries.



15th November “WILD BRITAIN” with Barry Payling     

Photography around Britain using a Hasselblad camera without any form of zoom, autofocus, lenses, filters, manipulation or light meter.



6th December  CONFESSIONS OF A SOHO ROSTRUM PHOTOGRAPHER with Phil Ogden

A journey through Phil’s photographic and AV career, starting in London and culminating in his return to Yorkshire and his latest book entitled ‘Ogden’s Garden’

24th January    PRESS PHOTOGRAPHY with Ian Day FRPS

Ian was 14 when his father bought him a camera from a retiring press photographer, and constructed a darkroom for him under the stairs. Now an FRPS, Ian will explain the many situations and images that a press photographer needs to master.

21st February   THEN AND NOW - 50 YEARS AS A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER with John Fox

John will take us on a journey through his long career from press photography to his current work with digital equipment, including Burlesque, Swimwear, Bands, Mardi Gras, Pole Dancing Championships, Astro photography and more ........



14th March  A COMPLETE GUIDE TO EVERYTHING PORTRAITURE   with Simon Watkinson  ABIPP   

Simon will show how to take effective portraits both posed and casual (candid).  



25th April  KENYA’S MASAI MARA with Ian Newton ARPS

A presentation of images taken on a 12 day trip to Kicheche Mara and Bush camps.  Surrounded by all the wildlife of this iconic destination, Ian will show images of animals and birds in equal numbers plus views of the

magnificent landscape and sunrises/sunsets.



Attendance at these talks is free to members of the LPS (Annual membership just £40)

Non-members are welcome to attend any of the above presentations at a charge of £5

(refundable against membership fee if you subsequently join the society)
