Leeds Photographic Society successful at the YPU Exhibition.

Leeds Photographic Society were very well represented at the recent Yorkshire Photographic Union Annual Exhibition and Assembly hosted by York Photographic Society in York on 8th May 2010.

The Society had 15 prints accepted, 2 by Malcolm Bond, 4 by Ted Clements, 1 by Jeanne Hopley, 1 by Colin Moore, 3 by Steven Mera and 4 by David Pratt. We also had 15 projected images accepted, 3 from Tim Munsey, 4 from David Pratt, 4 from Ted Clements and 1 from each of Richard Donnell, Jeanne Hopley, Brian Mower and Norman Robertson.

Ted Clements and David Pratt both were awarded 2 certificates for two of their printed images. Jeanne Hopley and Steven Mera were awarded a certificate each for one of their printed images.

Norman Robertson was awarded a certificate for his accepted projected image.

David Pratt's "Rocky Road"  won the Challenge Cup for the best Pictorial print.

2 monochrome prints by David Pratt, 1 colour print by Steven Mera, 2 projected images by both Tim Munsey and David Pratt were also put forward for consideration to represent the YPU in the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain Exhibition to be held later this year.

The society came joint first with Stocksbridge Photographic Society for the Projected Images section and received the Jordan Trophy under the General section. We also won the Applied section - The Fred Atkinson trophy

Next year the YPU exhibition and Assembly will be held in Doncaster, where we hope to add to this year's success.
